We currently have an outstanding career
opportunity for a highly motivated team player as primarily a Channel Outside
Sales Representative for our Calgary office, to sell Anixter’s products and
solutions to our channel customers in Calgary and the Southern Alberta market.
The successful candidate will be a consummate
and credible sales professional with the ability to articulate and affectively
position Anixter’s Value Proposition to both existing and new customers.
Effectively perform a needs assessment and developdetailed account strategies
Work in collaboration with the inside sales,operations, credit, finance and legal teams to ensure satisfactorycompletion of all processes that may affect your customers experience.
Work with internal sales resources as well asexternal vendor partners to satisfy your customers’ requirements forproducts and/or services we may offer.
Prepare sales activity, expense reports and attendscheduled pipeline reviews.
Participate in sales meetings, professionalassociation seminars and workshops as required.
Stay current on market based projects and businessopportunities in addition to vendor products and technology trends
Must be able to travel throughout the province ofAlberta as required
Reporting directly to the Location Manager, the
successful candidate for this position will possess:
Experience & Schooling:
Bachelor’s degree in related major is preferred
3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the network,security, and professional audio visual industries
Preferably has experience dealing with contractors or channel typecustomers
Must have a record of success in cold calling, qualifying leads,positioning value-added services and closing business Job-specific knowledge:
Ability to work with Inside SalesReps to target potential projects and customers
Ability to develop business plansto grow your business fully and implement the plan utilizing availableresources
Strongknowledge of network infrastructure, physical security, and professionalaudio visual products and technology
Comfortablewith performing presentations and leading customers QBR’s
WorkingKnowledge of Microsoft office(Excel/Word)
Excellentability to communicate in English(written and spoken)
