Job Summary:

In the role of Bid

Management Specialist - EES you will work closely with the Sales Organization

across Eastern Canada. You will be part

of a larger team and be responsible to build relationships with regional suppliers,

position projects, and negotiate pricing along with driving regional product

programs. This position will support our Ottawa, Quebec and Maritime

Businesses.

duties

  • Positioning of projectopportunities and strategic conversations with Anixter’s vendor

  • partners prior to, during,and after the quote stage – in line with Corporate initiatives

  • Price, availability, andterms & conditions negotiations with vendor partners pertaining to

  • customer quoting requests

  • Prepare and analyze pricingmatrix and provide results to Sales and Management

  • Completion of projectpurchasing worksheet, ensuring information accuracy and Anixter’s

  • levels of authority areobtained – transferring to Post Sales Team when finalized

  • Quote log analysis withawin / loss summary and market conditionsto be prepared with

  • findings presented to Salesand Management

  • Quote log pipeline andstrategic review with vendor partners

  • Understanding of productcategories to be the lead within the team

  • Work with the Sales totarget and develop regional product programs with our vendor partners

  • Develop and maintain strongvendor relationships and strategies

  • Assist Management with theco-ordination of Global Projects

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will

possess:

Experience & Schooling:

  • College diploma orUniversity degree in Business Management and relevant work experience

  • Excellent computer skills(Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook).

  • Bilingual(French &English)

  • Demonstrated excellence incommunication, with the ability to present information in audience appropriatemanner accompanied by strong presentation skills

  • Strong planning andorganizational skills along with strong prioritization skills

  • Solid track record ofexceeding expectations and moving benchmarks
