Position Description

The Vice President of Global Sales is responsible for the

growth and development of key global account customer organizations based in

California. The objective is to align Anixter’s vast resources to our clients

needs on a global basis to maximize our customer relationship opportunity. This

individual is also responsible for managing a team of senior level global sales

professionals in this geography. The successful candidate should posses the

following background, skills, and competencies:

  • Existing Global Accounts Sales and Sales Management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to excel at providing tactical and

strategic leadership for a senior level sales team

  • Sales management skills including but not limited to

hiring, forecasting, preparing budgets, employee assessments, coaching, team

succession planning and training

  • Possess abilities to develop and execute strategies to

attract, grow, and maintain global customer relationships

  • Experience preparing effective sales proposals,

reviewing contracts, and customer RFQ’s

  • Possess excellent communication skills and follow up

across all mediums
