Global Program Manager

We are looking for a positive and ambitious Global Program Manager who is willing to go the extra mile for F500 customers and colleagues across the world!

The Global Sales Operations Team(GSO) is a fast paced teamresponsible for leveraging of Anixter’s capabilities in support of global accounts and large, complex opportunities while providing clear, consistent processes and best practices across all geographies.This team provides the framework for effective communication, engagement, documentation and visibility among shared resources and sales teams globally.

Experience in a fast-paced, office or sales environment would make this candidate stand out. This multi-functional role will require the successful candidate to be a proven team player with a “can-do” attitude and excellent communication skills.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support Anixter’s Global/Complex Accounts program and Multi-National Transactions.

  • Typical requests include coordinating local teams to leverage global capabilities, provide assistance with implementations, national and global RFPs, pricing requests, inventory inquiries, order tracking, installer referrals, new account creation, and negotiation of customer contractual agreements.

  • Collaborate with Global Sales Operations counterparts in other regions to delegate requests, identify resources and exceed customer requirements.

  • Maintain solid business relationships with multiple cross-functional teams such as the Legal, Contracts Group, Supply Chain Solutions, eCommerce, Credit, Finance, Business Mgmt, Inventory, Marketing and our Vendors in support of global requests.

  • Provide overall program management such as managing and tracking requests; leading meetings and conference calls; creating daily, weekly, monthly status reports; ensure deadlines are met; setting up appropriate kick off meetings for strategic projects; preparing customer deliverables.


The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience. A background in sales or project management is preferable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Excellent information management and organizational skills; able to reason, negotiate and present effectively.

  • Ability to multi-taskin a fast-paced environment while being flexible, adaptable and responsive to shifting priorities.

  • Basic product knowledge of key product portfolio is desirable.

  • High attention to detail and able to prioritise effectively.

  • Positive attitude, dynamic, result driven, eager to learn and ambitious.

  • Enthusiastic and confident nature and ability to cope well under pressure.

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Available to participate on conference calls early mornings or late evenings.

  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as Anixter’s systems, including CORE and SAM

  • Existing or willingness to obtain PMP Certification
