Network & SecuritySolutions: Strategic Supplier Relations Manager

Position Purpose:

This Strategic Supplier Relations Managerposition will be primarily focused on managing a portfolio of audio/video and homeautomation solutions in both the small commercial and residential A/Vmarkets. Prior experience with suppliers and integrators within thesemarkets is strongly desired. Merchandising experience is a plus.

In the role you will be responsible

for managing multiple vendor relationships/programs and creating marketing

plans to promote growth and profitability. You will become the supplier’s

primary point of contact and a valuable strategic resource for the sales team.


  • Developing profitable growth strategies with key supplierssupported by executable initiatives that deliver results in line withshort and long term company goals.

  • Buildand maintain outstanding Vendor relationships.

  • ArticulateVendor’s value and differentiating features & benefits to internalsales team.

  • ArticulateAnixter’s value, capabilities and differentiating features to our VendorPartners and Customers.

  • Monitorinventory levelsand product performance.Work with InventoryManagement team to develop inventory models and replenishment strategies.

  • Manage branch merchandising and inventory programs withsupplier partners.

  • Lead and implement business performance reviews,developmental plans, and supplier negotiations.

  • Developand maintain sales tools.

  • Maintainappropriate product information databases and internal website.

  • Understand key business drivers for product categories tosupport sales growth.


  • Minimum5 years experience in Sales/Marketing

  • Audio/Videoand Home Automation market experience

  • Merchandisingexperience

  • Post-secondaryeducation in related field or equivalent related work experience.

  • Abilityto exceed expectations through relentless execution of a plan.

  • Strongcommunication and presentation skills.

  • Possessthe ability to work independently, as well as a strong team player.

  • Abilityto thrive in a fast-paced environment where continuous learning isrequired in order to grow personally and professionally.

  • Computerskills; MS Office(Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
