Job Summary

Our Mississauga office is looking for a Customs & Transportation Analyst to join Anixter’s Canadian Transportation Department. The Transportation team is responsible for supporting, assisting and addressing all transportation and custom related needs, questions or concerns for all of Anixter’s Canadian offices. This position will report directly to the Director of Transportation & Customs Compliance – Canada.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Operation teams

  • Completing export documentation

  • Low Value Canada Customs clearances on MSR

  • Payment & auditing of freight carrier invoices

  • Issuing freight rates to Anixter sales staff

  • Tracking & tracing of shipments

  • Obtaining NAFTA Certificates

  • Custom tariff classification of products

  • Other duties, as assigned


  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in related discipline, strongly preferred

  • Supply Chain Management, Customs & Transportation or Logistics experience, preferred

  • Customer Service experience, preferred

  • Excellent communication skills(written and verbal), required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office(e.g. Outlook, Excel), required

  • Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities

  • Successful track record in meeting deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently, with little direction

  • Customer-service orientated, strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem solving abilities

  • Team player
