Gather disparate data from various data sources, analyzes and normalizes the data to ensure quality of data for analysis. Responsible for providing consistent, relevant and accurate data as well as guidance/knowledge of the data and definitions that are available for analysis.
•Responsible for reviewing and analyzing requests for contract pricing and ensuring that all effective dates are in accordance with the customer contract
•Serve as single point of contact for the business in the implementation of all pricing and is critical for the timely review of all existing and newly negotiated pricing agreements
•Responsible for the testing and validation of all system pricing to ensure that conflicting pricing scenarios are working correctly to minimize negative impacts on margin
•Utilizes knowledge of customer contracts and strategies behind the contracts to ensure all pricing is being implemented correctly
•Compiles data on product and customer from disparate sources and normalize to ensure data integrity for analysis.
•Owns and manages the customer contract management application for contract terms and customer reporting. Ensures all contract information is captured and stored in the centralized repository
•Assists in the preparation of various other accounting statements and reports, on an as-needed basis.
•Leads Margin Improvement plans by performing best cost analysis, margin leak analysis and other required analysis. Builds trackers to monitor and record margin improvement
•Owns and manages the monthly commodity report dashboards
•Partners with sales to provide any data analytics needed for margin improvement or vendor negotiations
•Performs other duties as assigned
We are looking for candidates with:
•3-5 years of related experience
•Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
•Experience Reviewing and Interpreting contracts - Preferred
•Experience in aggregating large volumes of operations/financial/customer data for analysis
•Experience with data analysis in large businesses
•Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex data
•Nature of work requires increasing independence, receives guidance on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct “customers” of the process
•May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel
•Knowledge of Excel, expertise working with spreadsheets and databases
•Database experience(SQL, Data Warehousing, PeopleSoft, Informix, Hyperion Essbase, VBA macros, etc.) preferred.
•BI application experience a plus(Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, SSRS)
•Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
•Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
