Position Description

The lighting

specialist – strategic accounts is responsible for the growth of Anixter’s

lighting business in our most important customers. The objective of role is to

provide our customers with strong insight to new lighting technologies, best

practices, and build industry leading commercial viability for each solution. This

individual is responsible developing and implementing a market selling strategy,

being a subject matter expert in the products used inside the space, and

leading a team of resources to exploit opportunities. The successful candidate

should possess the following background, skills, and competencies:

  • Possess

abilities to develop and execute strategies to attract, grow, and maintain

global customer and manufacturers relationships

  • Strong lighting experience including product selection, system

design, installation, and sales

  • Experience preparing effective sales proposals, reviewing

contracts, and customer RFQ’s

  • Experience

coordinating across multiple divisions of employer and customer to achieve a

common goal.(EX: IT & Electrical working together)

  • Possess excellent communication skills and follow up across

all mediums

Your sales skills need be unrivaled, but it also helps if you have:

  • Bachelors degree in a related major is preferred

  • Several years of lighting sales experience required

-Ability to strategically manage large complex projects

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-A confident and determined approach
