Job Description

Responsibleto:

VP Marketing & Sales Operations EES EMEA

PrimaryPurpose:

Implement and manage strategies to improve

the company’s performance with regards to profitability, vendor management,

asset management and sales opportunities.

Focus predominantly within OEM Wire and cable products , verticals and

applications including electrical products such as lighting

Key Tasks and

Responsibilities:

· Drive the promotion and

marketing for the Vendor Programme , leveraging vendor expertise and support

· Manage the vendor relationships

for the company for an agreed level of product lines

· Optimise Standard Cost

variance for a given range of products

· Coordinate internal training

and vendor support with all relevant locations and back office personnel

· In conjunction with the Sales

strategy , identify and evaluate new product lines that can be introduced and

supported by vendors and manage subsequent roll out into the business

· Provide input , guidance

& relevant support during the bid process

· Lead all appropriate price negotiations

, ensuring the most cost effective deals are struck, the appropriate levels

of authority are followed and the agreement is effectively communicated to

the sales team to ensure margins are maintained.

· Shape and control the strategy with the

identified Strategic Vendors ensuring alignment with the Sales & Project

community

· Control the process of

benchmarking vendor price agreements to ensure the terms are competitive(including Global sourcing as required by the EMEA C& Marketing team).

· Develop, measure and review

relevant KPI’s to ensure business objectives are being achieved. This will also include ensuring the working

capital model is optimised (measured

by DIO and excess )

· In conjunction with rest of

EMEA C&I Marketing team , review Vendor scorecards & drive continuous

improvement

· Control authorisation of the

creation of new part numbers ensuring the product sits within a profile and

the appropriate authority has been given.

· Contribute and support key

business process requirements across other departments.

· Ensure that internal and

external resources are used efficiently and effectively where they can

improve processes.

GeneralCircumstances:

· Based in UK , Germany or Belgium

within commuting distance of an Anixter location

· Prepared to travel as

required
